Viatu announces partnership with Gondwana

10.3.2021

We are thrilled to announce our partnership with Gondwana Collection, a leading safari operator in Namibia with laudable sustainability efforts. Through this partnership, travellers will be able to book their stay with Gondwana Collection via our platform.

Accommodation

With 43 properties distributed across Namibia’s most iconic locations, Gondwana Collection caters to various types of travellers.

Lodges and camps can be found in 11 locations: Kalahari Desert, Fish River Canyon, Klein-Aus Vista, Sossusvlei area, Swakopmund, Damaraland, Kaokoland, Etosha National Park, Okavango, Zambezi and Caprivi.

Travellers can choose from 5 packages with different price ranges – Adventure, Experience, Value, Premium and Secret. At each stay, guests will experience nature coupled with exceptional hospitality and comfort.

Namibia2Go, a car rental service belonging to the collection, allows travellers to readily embark on self-drive safaris. Alternatively, guided safaris are offered for a more relaxed adventure through Africa’s sandcastle.

Sustainability

‘Sustainability is our philosophy’ is Gondwana Collection’s core message. Their efforts span from wildlife conservation to water preservation and social awareness. Managing 3 nature reserves, it protects 120.000 ha of land in Gondwana Canyon Park alone. Serving as a great source of employment and income for local residents, Gondwana Collection invests in their staff through programs offered at their inhouse Gondwana Training Academy.

Their comprehensive efforts and standard of sustainability in terms of operations, environmental consciousness and social responsibility have been acknowledged through several awards like the Responsible Tourism Award (RTA) in 2018 and the Namibia Sustainable Development Award in 2017.

Gondwana Collection is truly a regenerative travel powerhouse and we are proud to be their partners.
