Viatu Launches Covid-Hub to Keep Travellers Informed About Changing Travel Restrictions

8.7.2021

Travel start-up Viatu has announced the launch of their COVID-Hub for all travellers to Namibia. The Hub aims to provide regular updates about the country’s evolving COVID-19 situation, including pre- and post-travel specifics.

Viatu’s COVID-Hub was set up to provide up-to-date information about the local situation in Namibia and how it might affect visitors. A dedicated COVID-19 task force is also consistently reviewing and updating all information relating to entry regulations, providing local tips, as well as advising on returning-home quarantine measures. Together with Namibian authorities, they created useful maps on local COVID-testing facilities as well as an in-depth guide of the driving times to each of them.

“As a traveller, it’s not easy to stay on top of all the updates from various sources. We believe that it is our responsibility to provide travellers with a one-stop shop for all COVID-related matters that might arise. To keep up with the fast-changing news around this difficult subject, we put a whole team together to ensure that accurate and comprehensive information can be given.” - Alfredo Seidemann, Founder of Viatu.

Travellers can either check in for regular updates, or opt for a weekly newsletter debrief within the COVID-Hub.

With Viatu, travellers can travel smarter, wilder, and greener knowing that the company is regularly vetting and publishing reliable information about the ongoing pandemic.
